- Kite surfing
Paje area is situated in the east coast of Zanzibar. It is a popular destination with surfers. The warm waters, perfect winds and waves here make for a perfect kite surfing experience. There are excellent kite surfing schools here that have lessons on offer.
- Snorkeling
Snorkeling is suitable for first timers as well. The pristine coral reefs off the Mneba Island are some of the best places to snorkel at. There are species such as trumpet fish, clown fish and others. Sunscreen and a rash t shirt are essentials.
- Big game fishing
The Indian Ocean waters are flush with marlin, tuna and king fish, which makes it superb fishing territory.
- Parasailing
Parasailing is an activity that has recently become popular in Zanzibar. There are a number of locations at the Nungwi Island to the north.
- Windsurfing
Wind surfing is available everywhere that parasailing is offered.
- Diving
Zanzibar has a plethora of superb diving locations along with several diving schools with PADI approval on offer at the islands. There are both beginners along with more advanced sites.
